Scheduled for Jul 28, 01:00 - 05:00 AEST

Scheduled

Summary of Works

As part of our commitment to platform security and stability, our engineering team will be performing a major firmware upgrade on our Sydney FortiGate firewall cluster. This upgrade is expected to resolve several known firmware bugs and vulnerabilities, ensuring a more resilient environment moving forward.

Maintenance Window

  • Date: 28/07/2026

  • Start Time: 1 AM, AEST

  • End Time: 5 AM, AEST

  • Total Window: 4 Hours

Expected Impact

  • Service Interruption: While our cluster configuration is designed for high availability and we will take every precaution to minimise downtime, the major nature of this upgrade means there is a risk of disruption.

  • Preparation: Please prepare for up to 1 hour of potential service impact on all connectivity passing through the Sydney cluster during the window.

Critical Note: SSL-VPN Retirement

Please be aware that SSL-VPN is fully retired in this new firmware version.

While migration efforts to transition active users to IPsec-VPN have been underway, please ensure that your users are connecting exclusively via IPsec-VPN moving forward. Any legacy SSL-VPN profiles or connections will cease to function permanently following this upgrade.

If you experience any unexpected issues outside of the maintenance window, please contact our support desk immediately by raising a case in the MySAU portal.
