Location: Equinix BR1 (Brisbane)
Summary: Equinix facility engineers and approved vendors will perform 5-yearly maintenance on Node DB-B and UPS 1B at the BR1 facility. This work requires a complete shutdown of Node DB-B to carry out essential maintenance tasks.
During the activity, all customer IT equipment will fail over to Node DB-A, which will remain supported by UPS and generator systems. While service continuity will be maintained, redundancy will be reduced to N for the duration of the works.
Service Impact: Power Systems: - Node DB-B and UPS 1B will be fully offline. - All IT loads will be carried by Node DB-A. - Power redundancy will be reduced to N. - Customers with single-fed equipment on the B supply risk loss of protection and should move their load to the A supply.
Cooling Systems: - Chiller redundancy will remain at N+1, with no expected environmental impact.
Recommended Customer Action: If you have single-corded IT equipment currently powered from the B supply, it is strongly recommended that you move it to the A supply for the duration of the maintenance.
Outage Duration: 12 hours (05:30–17:30 local time)
Additional Information: This work will be carried out by Equinix facility engineers in collaboration with approved vendors. All tasks are scripted and controlled to ensure the maintenance is completed safely and efficiently.
Customer Action Required: - Verify your power configurations prior to the maintenance window. - Migrate any at-risk, single-fed devices from the B supply to the A supply.
