Summary: Equinix will be conducting a scheduled Comprehensive Utility Failure Test (CUFT) and Annual High Voltage (HV) System Maintenance at the PE2 data centre. These works are a vital part of Equinix’s commitment to maintaining safe, reliable, and resilient infrastructure.
Service Impact: Power Systems: - Site loads will be transferred to generator power during the testing. - UPS-backed systems will remain supported by their primary UPS sources. - Power system redundancy will be reduced while systems are being maintained.
Cooling Systems: - Redundancy will be maintained. No environmental impact is expected.
Additional Information: Maintenance will be performed one system at a time to minimise risk.
The work includes testing and inspection of high voltage infrastructure and associated systems to confirm proper operation under simulated utility failure conditions.
Although service disruption is not expected, the temporary reduction in redundancy may increase fault exposure during the test.
Customer Action: No action is required. Services will remain protected by UPS and monitored by Equinix throughout the maintenance window.
