Maintenance Window: Date: Tuesday, 28 October 2025 Time (Local): 05:30 to 17:30 AEST
Location: Equinix BR1 (Brisbane)
Summary: Equinix will be conducting 5-yearly maintenance on Node DB-A and UPS 1A at the BR1 facility. This work requires a complete shutdown of Node DB-A to allow essential maintenance tasks to be completed. The activity is a critical part of Equinix’s preventative maintenance program, ensuring the ongoing reliability of the data centre infrastructure.
Service Impact: Power Systems: - All customer IT equipment will automatically fail over to Node DB-B, which will remain fully supported by UPS and generators. - Power redundancy will be reduced to N during this maintenance window. - Customers with single-corded equipment fed only from the A supply risk loss of protection and should migrate loads to the B supply before the maintenance begins.
Cooling Systems: - Chiller redundancy will remain at N+1, with no expected environmental impact.
Recommended Customer Action: If you have single-corded IT equipment currently powered from the A supply, it is strongly recommended that you move it to the B supply for the duration of the maintenance.
Outage Duration: 12 hours (05:30–17:30 local time)
Additional Information: This work will be carried out by Equinix facility engineers in collaboration with approved vendors. All tasks are scripted and controlled to ensure the maintenance is completed safely and efficiently.
Customer Action Required: - Verify your power configurations prior to the maintenance window. - Migrate any at-risk, single-fed devices from the A supply to the B supply.
