Servers Australia network engineers have been completing preliminary works on a project to replace a large portion of vendor equipment from our network for the last few months. Engineers have divided this project up in to three stages to minimise impact and maintain redundancy. The first stage of the works entails replacement of specific equipment in the Equinix SY1 POP.

Engineers are now ready to begin migrations to this new environment, starting with some customer, internal & upstream services. During the window mentioned in this maintenance, some services in the Equinix SY1 facility will be migrated to replacement network infrastructure. These services will become unreachable for up to a five-minute period while we physically move them to the new infrastructure. Customers with directly affected services will be contacted, however, because of the core nature of the devices being replaced, additional services in SY1 and services that traverse this facility could also be affected.

Please reach out to us by opening a case from the MySAU portal or calling us on 1300 788 862 should you have questions relating to this.
